5 on Friday: Royalty

I was torn today for what this “5 on Friday” should be, but after watching the Royal Wedding, I feel it’s only appropriate to honor it. Today will be the top 5 things I loved about the wedding.
1)      Kate. How beautiful and classy did she look? Although I’ve heard around the water cooler from some that they weren’t impressed with her gown, I on the other hand, thought it was gorgeous. Very sophisticated. She has strict guidelines to follow so for the occasion, I was impressed. And, I must say, I love that she’s a brunette.

Here comes Peter Cottontail...

Happy Easter!
When I was younger, Easter was my favorite holiday. My mom got us the best baskets filled with candy, toys, and all kinds of goodies. We would put on our Sunday dresses and looked our best. Our Easter Sunday started with Church.  The next best part was brunch. We traditionally went to The Red Lion hotel for a huge buffet brunch. I always loaded up my plate with Belgium waffles topped with strawberries and whipped cream. Yum!

Naked Mexican Fiesta! Ole!

5 on Friday: Things to do

Unfortunately my Friday this week is not going to involve much fun and excitement, just lots of chores and things to get done.
1) Unpack. I still have to unpack all of my clothes from our trip to Kentucky. Packing and unpacking are both not fun to me.
2) Laundry. After I unpack, I have to wash all those clothes. But before that, I still have to put all my clean clothes away. I'm not sure why, but I will spend all day deep cleaning my house and do loads and loads of laundry but putting clean clothes away seems to be such a mission for me. They may sit in a basket for a few days but at least they're clean, right?

5 on Friday: Weekend Excitement!!

(Yes, I know it's Thursday but I have to do it early this week since I'll be on the road all day tomorrow). It has been a very busy week for me, no time to even read other blogs. That makes me a tad bit upset. But, I have been busy for a good reason. Today’s five are the 5 things I’m super excited about for this weekend:
1) No work tomorrow. Although I really don’t mind working your standard 40 hour week, working only 4 days makes a huge difference. It makes the week fly by and gives you more to look forward to. Plus, in that one extra day, you can get a lot more done during business hours.

(No, not “5 on it” or a $5 foot-long, just 5 things) Today, I am going to share 5 facts about me to let my fellow bloggers know me a little better. My bloggy buddy, Brittany , did this previously as well. I am going to start “5 on Friday” and today I will begin with sharing 5 about me. Here goes…
1)       I lived in Saudi Arabia for 2 1/2 years of my childhood. Weird right? My father got a job oversees and my family moved there when I was 3. It sounds crazy and fabricated now that I’m an adult but it’s true. It was a great time in my life though. My family and I got to see and do amazing things. My sisters rode a camel; I got spit on by one. We lived on an international compound and our neighbors were everything from English to Dutch to Turkish.

Did anyone else get slapped in the face this morning by April? I know I did. Wasn’t yesterday just March 1st? Man, time flies. I’m excited for April though. I am going to visit my BFF next week in Kentucky and then my pregnant sister will be here to visit me. Pregnant with twins too I must add. Yippee! And don’t forget Easter. As a kid I loved Easter. My mom (I mean the Easter Bunny of course) gave us the best baskets filled with lots of candy and toys. I really hope I get one this year filled with money…ha.
